DMK's Tech-Savvy Membership Recruitment Surpasses Targets in Karur: Senthil Balaji

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is seeing a surge in support in Karur, as the party’s membership drive has surpassed its target in record time, according to Karur MLA Senthil Balaji. The campaign is being powered by a dual strategy: the use of modern digital tools and direct community outreach.

Foundation Stone Laid for 'Muttalvar Ravaakam'

The announcement was made during the groundbreaking ceremony of ‘Muttalvar Ravaakam’, held at the Karur Corporation Boys' Higher Secondary School campus. The event was presided over by District Collector Thangavel and officially inaugurated by MLA Senthil Balaji.

Several local leaders were present at the event, including Deputy Mayor Dharani Saravanan, Corporation Commissioner Sudha, and Zonal Committee Chairpersons Raja, Anbarasu, and Kanagaraj.

Digital Meets Door-to-Door

After the ceremony, Senthil Balaji addressed the press and revealed that the DMK’s membership campaign had already enrolled more than 3 lakh new members in just 10 days. He credited the success to the strategic use of information technology, which has helped streamline the recruitment process.

“We are using technology to speed up our membership drive. Alongside that, our volunteers are visiting every household to raise awareness about the DMK's initiatives and government welfare schemes,” Balaji said.

Reaching Every Home in Karur

He further stated that the goal of the DMK in Karur is to ensure 100% household coverage, ensuring that all residents are informed about their eligibility for state welfare programs. The campaign is not only strengthening party presence but also deepening public awareness about development efforts under the DMK government.

Development Project Highlights

As part of the same event, construction was initiated for a three-floor office building under the Chief Minister’s Competitive Exam Training Scheme, with ₹3 crore allocated for the project. The building will span 2,152.50 square feet and will serve students preparing for government competitive exams.

Conclusion

With robust membership growth and key infrastructure projects underway, Karur is witnessing strong leadership under Senthil Balaji. The DMK’s approach—blending digital innovation with grassroots connection—is setting a new standard for political engagement and public service delivery in the region.
